Born in 1992, I developed a love for design via influence from my father. Working as a lithographic printer I was exposed to printed materials he would bring home and began to wonder who it was that put together these leaflets and brochures.
As with many start out designers, a copy of Photoshop was all I needed to get my creative juices flowing. From an early age, I enjoyed photo manipulation (the wonders of the clone tool!) and creating ‘skins’ for some early social media pages.
By my early teens, I was dead-set that I was going to work in design. I attended a design & technology school and took graphics before proceeding on to continue my education at sixth form and college whilst also studying photography, media and business.
During my studies, I took time out in the holidays to work in some agencies to pick up valuable experience. I felt I was ready.
After leaving school and before I had picked up my results I was in my first job. A design and print shop with an impressive local client base. I was hired as a Print Finisher and Design Assistant and progressed through the company to become the Senior Designer.
A little over 7 years into my career I decided it was time for a move. I packed my things and set off for Airfield. An agency working primarily in the food and drinks sector with a client base including the likes of Britvic, Diageo, Mars & GlaxoSmithKline.
I am currently Studio Manager at Airfield with a small team of creatives whom I work with to create outstanding (and now award-winning) work.
